Joe began his insurance career in 1997 when he joined Aflac as a Sales Representative. This marked a significant career change for him and his family, as they made the bold decision to leave his role as an Officer with the New York State Department of Corrections and transition into the insurance industry with Aflac.

In addition to his professional work, Joe has been actively involved in his community. His service has included roles with the Auburn Enlarged School District as Vice President, the Cayuga Counseling Board of Directors, Nick’s Ride Board of Directors, Auburn Public Theater Board of Directors, Auburn Pony League and Little League Boards of Directors, Auburn Pop Warner Board of Directors, the Board of Directors for Majorpalooze, and the ARC of Seneca Cayuga Board of Directors. He has also volunteered with the Salvation Army in Auburn.
Joe is currently involved with Syracuse Executives Association and the Political Action Committee for the Aflac Northeast Territory. Previously, he was active with the Political Action Committee for the New York State Department of Corrections and served as Chief Sector Steward for NYSCOBA.
Throughout his career, Joe has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the MassMutual Exceptional Level of In Force Recognition Award for four years, Aflac President’s Club for five years, Aflac National Awards for 24 years, and Aflac State Awards for 24 years. He was also honored in 2024 with the Amos Award for being the #1 Aflac Regional Coordinator in the county.
